Progress Energy understands the importance of recruiting separating military personnel. These professionals are exceptionally trained, accustomed to working in teams, have engrained leadership skills and offer worldly experience. Each year, between 225,000 to 350,000 military personnel and their spouses leave the military and enter the civilian workforce.
Progress Energy participates in military transition classes (TAP/ACAP) and job fairs to recruit skilled military personnel. The company is also featured in G.I. Jobs magazine, which is circulated to transition classes and veteran job assistance offices worldwide. Progress Energy is included on G.I. Jobs' list of military-friendly employers.
